Mission Statement

The Northside Food Pantry Advisors ensure health and nutritional security for our neighbors by donating time, money, and goods.

We believe access to nutritional food is a basic human right and vow to share all the resources entrusted to us with reliability, respect, and compassion.

United Methodist Church Union

The United Methodist Church Union is NPFA’s fiscal sponsor. They support our work organizationally, serve as our Controller, and work to enhance our support of vulnerable Northsiders.

Northside Food Pantry Advisors

Starting in 2013 as an informal neighborhood “coffee crew,” the Northside Food Pantry Advisors have become a formal and cohesive effort to consistently supply the Northside Food Pantry with healthy and wholesome foods. While the Northside Food Pantry Advisors (NFPA) no longer has a relationship with the Northside Food Pantry, we support other food distribution events throughout the 15212, 15214, and 15233 zip codes, including a weekly no-barrier produce distribution at Northview Heights. The following individuals are members of the 2024 Northside Food Pantry Advisors Executive Committee: Sue Carlino, Cienna Chefren, Allison Ebeck, Rachael Heisler, Leah Kaighn, Bob Maravalli, Laura Meixell, Ben Sgroi, Karalyn Smith, Jana Thompson, and Jen Vander Plaats.
