Open three days a week:

Tuesdays: 9:00 am until noon.

Wednesdays: 9:00 am until noon.

Fridays: 9:00 am until noon.

Emergency assistance is available by appointment (412-323-1170). Special dietary needs are accommodated when possible.

If you need help

During COVID-19, the Northside Food Pantry is maintaining our normal operating hours of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9 am - 12 noon.  The Pantry is located at 1601 Brighton Rd., Pittsburgh PA 15212 inside the Northside Common Ministries building.  The pantry is located on the side of the building; the blue door is the landmark. The 13, 15, and 16 PAT buses stop in front. 

Please note: we serve those in the 15212, 15214, and 15233 zip codes. If you live outside our service area, please call 211 or use:  https://www.pittsburghfoodbank.org/get-help/locator/ to find a pantry in your area.

-- If you have never visited the Pantry before: you must come in-person to sign up for services.  Expect to wait outside. Please bring photo ID, your social security number, and proof of address. If there are children in your home, bring something with their name on it: insurance cards, school paperwork, a lease, and court papers are examples. If you are 60 or older, bring proof of income to apply for an additional food program.  No one will be allowed in the building.

-- If you have been a client at any point since 2014: you must use the curbside ordering system. This is done by ordering on the Facebook page NCM Food Pantry Curbside Service Orders or calling the Pantry at 412-323-1170. Curbside service and ordering is only available during business hours: 9 am - 12 noon on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday.  You can pick up 1 hour after we receive your order and your food will be waiting for you outside our door. We do not have any delivery options. No one will be allowed in the building.
